With this program I would learn cyber defense to help against cybercriminals and Hackers. I can take knowledge that I learn to work in government or the private sector.

Similar to Cybersecurity a degree in Digital Forensic would prepare me to work in government but in the Criminal Justice side. This includes working on border protection and our nations infrastructure sectors like transportation.

Roles: Systems integration engineers help develop and test control systems for engines. They integrate various systems, servers and networks. Systems integration engineers also document, troubleshoot and debug systems to ensure they run properly and provide quality data.

Role: Security analysts use their analytical abilities to identify and fix any issues in a company’s security programs and systems. They also provide recommendations to help improve the organization’s security systems, find and mitigate potential breaches and help with any security system attacks. Security analysts also compile reports for administrators and managers that assess a company’s current security policies and measures. They aim to create a more secure network and may educate company employees on the various security protocols.

Penetration Tester

Role: Penetration testers conduct security tests on web applications, networks and various computer systems. They create these tests intending to break into these networks and applications to identify any vulnerabilities.

Emerging Technology

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence in my opinion has and will help in cyber security. AI like we have discuss in previous lessons is a tool and a very powerful one at that. When used in the field of cyber security it can help in identifying patterns and respond to threats within a network. I will use it in many ways such as reading large data and predicting patterns. AI fits in my future career as the profession is making way for the use of AI and programs are incorporating AI more and more into their curriculum to better prepare future graduates. My interest in technology is that it can help me to see things that I would never have noticed without its emergence.
